week 3

This week I took part in the Te Awamutu intermediate music camp. Students from Cambridge and matamata intermediates came and took part in the festival as well as us. I play the trumpet and there were a lot of good tutors that helped me and all the other participants prepare for the concert that was held on Thursday night in the T.A.I  A.L.C. I learned how to play about a dozen pieces such as Bynip Blues, A Children's Christmas Carol, Hard Rock Blues and lots more.

Here is a picture of a trumpet for all those that do not know what it looks like.

Trumpets are played with combinations of the three different valves and blows.

As well as the music that last week was full of we also had our first 2 science lessons and we learned about P.O.E.W (predict, observe, explain and what if). We had to test what would happen when we lit a scharboughafair tea bag on fire with a lighter.
